Last May, I participated in the openFrameworks workshop organised by iMAL and, even if I was delighted to dicover this new programming environment, I was a bit frustrated because I couldn’t get the video module to work the way I wanted.
Today, width the release of version 061, and thanks to the work of Arturo on the implementation of the GStreamer video library for linux, I managed to get my code bits back together and re-test it all. And, ho good, the basic idea works now.
It’s a small application displaying a continuous video feed from 4 webcams found on the web. (See screenshot.) Nothing too exciting yet, but it brings me back some motivation to push this project a little further and dig some oF code again.
